Sunday 13th December 2015

What should have been the last match of the season was fished on Sunday at Dronsfield Road, Fleetwood.

We were greeted with an easterly breeze and overcast conditions for the match and also the promise of rain.

Fishing was again poor with only 4 of the 13 anglers catching fish that were in-size although there were a number of undersized Whiting and odd Codling caught, the winner being greedy with 2 insize whiting opposite the walkway from Dronsfield Road.

The next match picked as a replacement for the cancelled Cleveleys match is on the 10th of January, Cleveleys fished 9:00 to 12:00

Sunday 15th November 2015 - Cleveleys

The match scheduled for yesterday was cancelled due to inclement weather, in other words it was blowing a good un.

Looking at suitable tides for a replacement match which will be published as soon as decided.

In addition, with the Fleetwood and District Open now being held on the 29th November at Cleveleys the next league match has been moved to Dronsfield Road with the times altered to 10:30 to 13:30.

Sunday 11th October 2015

The ninth match of the season fished over high water at Cleveleys 9:00 to 11:00 with high water at 11:01 on an 8.54m tide.

16 anglers fished the match and the results can be summarised very easily, nothing, nowt, nada, not a thing.

Ah well there is always next time.

 

Sunday 4th October 2015 - Cleveleys

The 8th match was fished today at Cleveleys, match was fished from 8:30 to 11:30, fishing the last of the ebb and the start of the flood.

Overcast and autumnal conditions greeted the lads but for the first time at this years matches it didn't rain!!!!

I will not say the match was slow as action was non-existent with 15 anglers on the beach nothing had been landed when the tide started to turn and start to flood the back gully's forcing some of the anglers back across the gully.

The only fish caught came from a gentle lob into the flooding gully on the last cast at 11;30, when the winner landed a Plaice at 27cm.
