Lytham 22nd April 2018

The second match of the season was fished today at Lytham from 9:00 to 12:00 which was supposed to be 1 1/2 hours either side of low water.

When we arrived we were greeted by cloudy conditions and heavy rain.

Fishing again was poor with only odd flounders being caught - the prime bait was undoubtedly fresh peeler crab. 8 of the 11 anglers present managed to catch fish.

The top individual was Bob Scullion with 4 flounders for 90 points (Total Length 141 cm).

Lytham 8th April 2018

The first match of the season was fished today at Lytham. The match was fished from 8:30 to 11:30 fishing the last 3 hours of the ebb.

We were greeted by an overcast and chilly morning when we arrived.

Fishing was slow with only the odd flounder showing but 9 of the 12 anglers present managed to catch in size fish.

Top individual was Bryan Horrocks with 4 flounders (140cm for 88 points).
