Sunday 4th October 2015 - Cleveleys

The 8th match was fished today at Cleveleys, match was fished from 8:30 to 11:30, fishing the last of the ebb and the start of the flood.

Overcast and autumnal conditions greeted the lads but for the first time at this years matches it didn't rain!!!!

I will not say the match was slow as action was non-existent with 15 anglers on the beach nothing had been landed when the tide started to turn and start to flood the back gully's forcing some of the anglers back across the gully.

The only fish caught came from a gentle lob into the flooding gully on the last cast at 11;30, when the winner landed a Plaice at 27cm.

Sunday 26th of July 2015 - Fairhaven

Seventh match of the season fished at Fairhaven 9:30 to 12:30 today, fishing the ebb 2 hours after high to an hour before low. With the small tide fishing was into the gully behind the training wall.

For the seventh match in a row this year the weather gods were not kind with overcast and breezy conditions for the march out there and the start of the match, with heavy rain setting in after about an hour which continued throughout the match and the walk back to the car park.

This match was fished to a one hook rule.

Match started slowly for me with only 1 flounder in the first hour but then fishing picked up and I finished with 8 flounders.

Winner fished near the old sewer pipe (11 flounders and an eel) and the 2nd fished left of the post (7 flounders and an eel).

Most of the flounders caught were a decent size averaging around 35cm.

Bait of choice was peeler crab.
